Money Saving License Reinstatement
Good news to all traffic violators in the bay area, thanks to what is being designated Operation Green Light. Operation Green Light will give its residents a financial break and a chance to pay any delinquent traffic tickets and any court fines or fees at a reduced cost. The reduced cost will be due to the Clerk of Courts dismissing any collections and late fees associated with a traffic ticket. Any drivers with their licenses suspended will be given the opportunity to get their license reinstated after paying their fines and court fees.
Operation Green Light is a one-time event taking place Saturday, April 18th and will be hosted in most counties in Florida. Palm Beach, Pinellas and Broward County, acted as an experimental phase for the state wide event. When Pinellas County ran the experimental run back in February, and collected nearly $285,000 from 934 cases and reinstated 24 drivers’ licenses. When Palm Beach County partook in the experiment last year and netted nearly $500,000. This a limited time event, so make sure that you make it down to your clerk’s office because once the event closes the doors, those who did not take advantage will have to pay the full amount.
