DUI REDUCED TO RECKLESS DRIVING (June 2008)
Defendant was observed by a Hillsborough County deputy weaving and then driving over the center median of a four lane highway into traffic. On video, defendant’s action were visible signs of impairment. Pending a motion to suppress based on destruction of evidence (because some portion of the video surveillance was missing), Stephen Higgins argued to get the case reduced to a Reckless Driving, with the minimal sanctions being imposed on the defendant.
